Ryan Cabrera and Tyler Hilton will perform on November 18, 2011, at Gramercy Theatre, New York, to help music education programs in New York State schools.

On Friday, November 18, 2011, acclaimed acoustic singer-songwriters Tyler Hilton and Ryan Cabrera are expected to perform a concert at Gramercy Theatre, situated in New York City. They will be performing as part of the Rock the Schools Benefit Concert, with the goal of helping New York State schools, in an effort to support and enhance their music education programs.

Regarding their venue choice, Ms. Alaina Bendi, the partner of BTF concerts, remarks “when we came up with the concept for this concert, we wanted to go big. The people at Live Nation and at the Gramercy Theatre are literally the most amazing people to work with. Live Nation has been so generous with their support and it gives us so much confidence and hope that we can make this successful.”

Host and Guest Artists

Radio personality Trey Morgan from New York’s hit music station Z100 will serve as host of this event. It is sponsored by Live Nation and produced by BTF Concerts. It will also feature such guest artists as newcomer Dion Roy, Bryan Greenberg, and singer-songwriter Val Emmich.

Tyler Hilton and Ryan Cabrera Co-Headline Concert

Throughout his career in the entertainment industry, Tyler Hilton has established himself as an actor, portraying “Drew,” the love interest in Taylor Swift’s “Teardrops on my Guitar” music video, as well as Elvis Presley in the Oscar-winning film Walk the Line; moreover, he has regularly guest-starred as “Chris Keller” in the hit TV series One Tree Hill. As a musician, he has released two full-length studio albums, and two EPs.

Cabrera has made an impact in the modern pop music scene since his debut in 2004. A gifted songwriter, his radio singles “On the Way Down” and “True” were both Top 20 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts, and his tune “I Will Remember You” was featured on Will and Grace, as well as So You Think You Can Dance.

On having Cabrera and Hilton co-headline this concert, Ms. Bendi states: “I have such a deep respect for Tyler as a musician, so I thought he would be perfect for this. He signed on right away. Dion Roy, who had previously toured with Tyler approached us to play because he has a passion for the cause. From there, Ryan Cabrera signed on thanks to Dion and his agent, Matt Rafal. That in itself defines what we're trying to accomplish here: to have unbelievably talented musicians jump on the chance to support this cause that we all hold dear to our hearts. I couldn't be more honored, excited and thankful that Tyler and Ryan are doing this.”

Future Goals for BTF Concerts

According to Ms. Bendi, “the Rock the Schools Concert is planned to be an annual event, so BTF Concerts will continue to be the producer of the event. Starting next year, the concert will benefit our newly-formed foundation, the Bendi Trombley Foundation for the Performing Arts, which has the same mission of what this concert is trying to accomplish: to support and promote music programs is something we want to be hands-on with as much as we can.”

Bendi continues, “Every student needs an outlet to express creativity and our goal is to help do as many programs as we can so these kids get the best experience they can. They deserve it. If we are able to help even one kid by providing an outlet that will give them the confidence to go on to pursue their dreams in music, thats the best gift we could ever get.”

For prospective concert-goers and fans, Ms. Bendi concludes “we have five amazing acts that will definitely make for an incredible night. Plus, some familiar faces from film and TV. Tyler is back as a regular for the final season of One Tree Hill, so we're all psyched about that. Locksley has a hit single called ‘The Whip’ out that we can't wait to hear live. Val Emmich is also an actor in addition to his amazing songwriting skills and Dion Roy, I promise you, will be the next big star. He has so much love and passion for what he does and knows how to express it. And Ryan, well, who doesn't love Ryan Cabrera! There will be a VIP pre-party at the venue for people coming out for the cause, industry professionals, actors, other musicians, press and the artists themselves. With Trey Morgan hosting, the Z100 Party Patrol will be on site to kick it up a notch! There are also meet and greet passes available to meet Ryan and Tyler after the show.”

Conclusion

In summation, the Rock the Schools Benefit Concert is a musical event that should not be missed! It features singer-songwriters Hilton and Cabrera and their guests, who are clearly at the top of their game, and the proceeds go to a good cause.
