Carrie Shares her Musical Influences

Regarding her musical influences, Carrie remarks, “I love Dolly Parton and Kings of Leon.”

Carrie notes that she would love to someday collaborate with both of these musical acts. “I think the lead singer of Kings of Leon [Caleb Followill] has a phenomenal voice. It would be my dream to do a duet with Dolly Parton.”

Carrie Talks About Being an Independent Artist

On recording as an independent musician, Carrie states, “it feels good. I think there is a lot of room for creativity, and it allows me to put myself out there, and be as honest as I can. I like it!”

Carrie Discusses her New Single “To Be With You”

“My father actually wrote 'To Be With You' for my mother a while back. We put our twist on it, and we filmed a music video that is coming out soon. We have some gorgeous footage on it,” she says.

Carrie Reveals her Future Plans

“We are putting our next album together. We have all of the songs, and we are working on them piece by piece. It will be released in the summer, and we hope to do a mini-tour in California.”

“My husband and I co-wrote the rest of the new album,” she adds. “It is a little more stripped down than our first album. There is less twang, and it has a folk vibe to it.”

Carrie Talks About her Hobbies

“I love listening to music, and my husband and I enjoy skating and surfing together. We also like writing music,” Carrie shares.

Carrie Talks About Chelsea’s Light Foundation

Speed the Band is involved with the Chelsea’s Light Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that pushes to protect children. “I fully support Chelsea’s Light, and I think it’s a great foundation. We love it!” she exclaims.
