Amanda Talks New Video and Cazwell
Amanda recently released her latest video for “Doin’ It My Way.” “It was directed by Marco Ovando and written by Cazwell,” she says.
She notes that Cazwell wrote the song “Champagne” for her, and adds that he was subsequently pleased with her vocal performance on it.
She lists Marilyn Monroe as one of her influences. “I would spend a lot of time alone, and I didn’t want to look like the girls in my school, and I related to the movie stars, especially the blonde ones, and I really wanted to be like them,” she reveals.
Amanda Talks About “Someone Saved My Life Tonight”
Amanda made a cameo in Elton John’s music video for “Someone Saved My Life Tonight.” “That was awesome!” she exclaims. “It was a cool video to do, and it has a lot of deep meaning.”
Amanda Discusses her Newest Album
“I am very proud of my album, which is called I…Amanda Lepore," she says. “There are fourteen songs on it, and we tried to make all of the styles different. It has elements of dance, disco, retro, rock, and it even consists of a ballad.”
Amanda Lepore: A Global Sensation
Amanda is hired regularly to perform at nightclubs and venues all over the world. “It’s great to get the opportunity to travel to different cities, and I am overwhelmed at how much people know me and how much they love my music,” she shares.
Amanda Talks David LaChapelle
She is dubbed as the “muse” of photographer David LaChapelle. “It is amazing to work with David,” she says. “He discovered me and helped make me a worldwide celebrity. He used to make sketches of women that looked like me when he was in high school and before we knew each other.”
Amanda Discusses “I Know What Boys Like”
Her song “I Know What Boys Like” was featured in the motion picture Another Movie. “That was great too. I was really happy that they used my music for the film,” she states.
Amanda Talks Future Plans
“I will never get away from the stage and the nightclubs,” she admits. “They are really my life, but I hope to do bigger shows. I am doing a fashion show with dancers in London.”
She lists Madonna as her dream duet choice. “Madonna has been around for so long, and she has put out such great music.”
“I like Lady Gaga as well. I like her music and her style,” she adds.
Amanda Addresses her Fans
“I love each and every one of my fans. I want them to definitely stay in touch and follow my career,” she concludes.
