His first single, "The Gospel According to Jones" features guest vocals from his childhood musical hero, country music icon George Jones.

Eric Lee Beddingfield's "The Gospel According to Jones"

The first single of Eric Lee Beddingfield's latest album is "The Gospel According to Jones," in which he pays homage to veteran country singer George Jones, who is also known as "The Possum."

Although many singers have managed to write and perform tribute songs about their favorite musical artists, Beddingfield manages to out-do them all, and take this tribute a step further, since he enlists the country music pioneer, George Jones, as a guest vocalist, for this record.

In this duet recording, George Jones pays a tribute to the late great country artists that influenced him in return, such as Lefty Frizzell, Hank Williams, and Waylon Jennings. In the song's lyrics, Jones remarks that although these aforementioned singers have all passed on, "they're singing in heaven," according to his "gospel." The critically-acclaimed "Gospel According to Jones" is bound to be an anthem for all fans of country legend George Jones.

Noteworthy Album Cuts on Beddingfield's "This Life Ain't for Everybody"

The opening track is the up-tempo "That Ol' Outlaw Song," in which Beddingfield pays tribute to all the outlaws of country music, and makes a statement that their music will stand the test of time.

"Hard One To Forget" is a love ballad, in which Beddingfield shares all the different reasons as to why a certain girl is memorable for him, and therefore, "hard to forget." An equally beautifully-performed ballad on the record is Beddingfield's "Missing Y'all."

In "Come On," Beddingfield reveals all the reasons as to why he wants his significant other to "come on over" tonight.

This album is filled with many up-tempo songs worth listening to such as "The Great Depression," the authentic "More Than One Year at a Time," as well as the title track "This Life Ain't for Everybody," in which he reveals how he finds his life fulfilling at the moment, and shares his gratitude that this life is his.

The Verdict

There is something in it for everybody in Eric Lee Beddingfield's latest release "This Life Ain't for Everybody." This album is destined to please fans of traditional country music, especially those who love such country artists as Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Charlie Daniels, Gretchen Wilson, George Jones, and Hank Williams Jr.

With this solid release, Beddingfield showcases that he has the songwriting talent and vocal ability to someday join the ranks of Hank Williams Jr., Kris Kristofferson, and his musical influence, George Jones as the next "outlaw" of country music.
