A Florida native, country music singer Easton Corbin, was signed to Mercury Nashville Records in 2009. Easton Corbin rose to country stardom this past year thanks to the success of his chart-topping debut single “A Little More Country Than That.”

Easton Corbin Finds Success With Debut Album and Single
On March 2, 2010, Easton Corbin's eponymous debut record was released via Mercury Records Nashville. According to the March 24, 2010 edition of Billboard Magazine, Corbin's record debuted at #4 on the Billboard Country Album Charts and sold 43,000 copies in its first week. In addition to providing lead vocals for the album, Corbin served as songwriter where he co-wrote four of the album's twelve tracks.
His debut single "A Little More Country That That," co-written by Rory Feek from country duo Joey + Rory, peaked at #1 on Billboard's Hot Country Charts. According to the Country Standard Time, this marks the first time since 2003, where a male country singer’s debut single reaches the top of the Billboard Country Charts. According to his biography from his official website, Corbin reveals that although he did not write this song, it is very personal to him and a tune he could relate to, since it showcases "character," an important value for Corbin.
Thanks to the success of his debut album and its leaf-off single, Easton Corbin landed a spot as an opener for country star Brad Paisley’s "H2O World Tour" this past summer.
As of September 20, 2010, Corbin's follow-up single "Roll With It" sits at #4 on the Billboard Country Charts with the potential to reach the top of the charts.
Easton Corbin Receives Recognition From Fans and Peers in Country Music
In the 2010 CMT Music Awards, which is a fan-voted country music awards show, Easton Corbin's music video for "A Little More Country Than That" was nominated for "Best Breakthrough Video."
In the upcoming 2010 Country Music Association awards, taking place on November 10, 2010, Easton Corbin received three nominations. Corbin is nominated for “New Artist of the Year,” in a category which includes country singers Luke Bryan, Chris Young, Jerrod Niemann, and the Zac Brown Band. Furthermore, his song “A Little More Country Than That” is nominated for “Song of the Year,” as well as “Single of the Year.”
